The filter is then connected to the filter holder and the extraction begins.
Each pod contains about 5/7 grams of coffee, it’s a disposable and single-dose product, useful for preparing the drink quickly.

Coffee tamper

Pressing, in fact, plays a leading role in the extraction of espresso: has the function of compacting the powder, increasing its resistance to the passage of hot water, so as to ensure the extraction of all aromatic substances.
Correct pressing makes the coffee compact and ensures that no gaps are created.
The powder must not separate or create lumps, otherwise the organoleptic properties will be lost, and the taste will be light and almost bland.
Pressing must ensure that the only space left is that between the surface of the coffee and the water dispenser.
